Congrats to Indian Scientists...!
They created history with successfully placing India's first unmanned rocket in to the moon, in its orbit today morning i.e. on Wednesday 22 October 2008.
ISRO Chariman DR. G. Madhavan Nair described the successful Chandrayan 1 as a historic moment for India.
Chandrayaan-1 blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. India is the sixth nation to undertake a moon mission.
A rocket is carrying India's maiden spacecraft to the moon, Chandrayaan-1 and the scientists ensured the launch was smooth.
During its two-year life Chandrayaan-1, an Indian mission with international partners will map the moon's resources like never before.
