Nagpur: BJP's ideological mentor the Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)
on Monday, 29th August 2016 put its newly introduced uniform on sale
at its national headquarters here.
This came several months after the right-wing outfit announced its decision to change its `ganvesh' (dropping the trademark knicker for full pant).

The Sangh sympathisers say that it is no big deal and in no way
marks a shift in the RSS 'Hindutva' ideology.
However, the move is seen by many as an
attempt by the RSS to increase its outreach to help its political wing - BJP -
retain power at the Centre in 2019.
For the last three decades, the RSS workers have attended Vjiayadashami rallies in 'purna ganvesh' of half-pants, white short, black topi, brown belt, black shoes and lathi.
