Yaseen Bhatkal arrested
New Delhi: A dreaded gangster,
who was involved in an attack on Indian Mujahideen member Yaseen Bhatkal inside
the Tihar Jail and other crimes of murder, attempt to murder, and arms trade,
has been arrested, the Delhi Police said on Thursday, 09 February 2017.Yaseen Bhatkal arrested
Banned terror outfit
Indian Mujahideen (IM) co-founder Yasin Bhatkal's associate Fasih Mahmood was
allegedly attacked by a Tihar Jail inmate, in 2014.
An inmate identified as Simran, a murder accused lodged in jail number two,
assaulted Mahmood.
”Mahmood sustained injury on his leg following the attack over some issue. He was taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital later. Mahmood was brought back to the jail after a check-up and lodged in jail number two. Later Mahmood was brought before a Delhi court on wheel chair in connection with a case regarding his involvement in terror activities. Mahmood was deported from Saudi Arabia in 2012.
